  1. There's a fundamental difference between perjury concerning a non-crime and actively hamstringing an investigation. There was no collusion, but there WERE crimes being committed. "They're both crimes, actually!" Yeah, but one's the equivalent of jaywalking while the other is the equivalent of burglary. It's what sank Nixon, by the way. He wasn't being brought up on charges concerning the Watergate break-in, he was being charged with obstruction right before he quit. That's WHY he quit, because he knew he'd have been convicted and then removed from office.
