  1. Reparations... Bullshit. The idea of reparations was intended to give former slaves a chance to start a life after being freed. It was obstructed largely, very few got their reparations. That was bad. But, forcing people who never owned a slave themselves money to people who were never slaves themselves is wrong. It's an injustice to force someone to pay for a crime they themselves did not commit. Slavery is over. No one alive today in the US is a slave, was born a slave, owns a slave, or ever owned a slave. Not only that, no one alive today knows someone who ever knew someone that was a former slave. It's been over 200 years now since the 13th amendment officially freed the slaves. We've ended slavery, it's a dead issue. Move on to something more recent, like Jim Crow (also already dead). There are actually some people alive who lived through Jim Crow and enforced Jim Crow. It's still something that people need to get over already, but at least there's an argument to be had there.
