My grandmother suffered from senile dementia the last few years of her life. At her worst, she made more sense than Trump does NOW!

Say what you want about Obama's policies, the man knows how to make an inspirational speech.

I remember an incident when, in Los Angeles, a power outage had hundreds of reports of bizarre lights in the sky. It was the Milky Way, all the lights turning off allowed people to see the part of the galaxy we've been able to see for eons before electric lights drowned it out through light pollution.

Yelling and being belligerent is a poor substitute for having information and being correct.
125
So, basically, not only is he putting down Mexicans and Brazilians as lesser people, but he's also claiming that his people wiped or displaced an entire indigenous people. Not sure if anyone picked up on that.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is literally the laughingstock of congress. No, literally, they laughed at her when she told congress to maintain decorum. A 5-year-old child would have been taken more seriously.
85
Man, that concession speech is a prime example of why he wasn't justice material.
68
If Sotomayor retires right now, Congress will stop Biden from appointing a new justice the same way they stopped Obama appointing someone six months from the end of his second term. Her retiring will just guarantee an even more lopsided right-wing judiciary.
58
It's a shame we don't have more Tim Miller type Republicans in the world. He seems a million percent more reasonable than even the most moderate MAGA cult member.
57
It's amazing how this man can be so smart in one area and have total brainworms in the other.
51
The petulance, foolishness, dishonor, and hypocrisy of the right of late would have made our founding fathers very ashamed of these fools.
50
It's like throwing some steaks at a hungry lion and hope it doesn't kill and eat you. Might work for a bit, but eventually you're getting eaten.
47
I have never been more embarrassed by nor ashamed of my nation than I am at this moment, and I don't see things improving. I see further embarrassment and shame in our future with this deranged president in charge.
44
They treat their audience like mushrooms. Keep them in the dark and feed them bullshit.
38
I'm really sick of the phrase, "election interference." You know what would be election interference? Giving a criminal a pass until after the election. The people have a right to know if one of the candidates is a criminal.
38
I've never heard a man more capable of using an abundance of words to say absolutely nothing in my life.
37
There are things Bill Maher gets right. Medicine has never been one of them. Seth McFarlane's sense of humor is odd as hell, but he's a generally decent guy.
36
This officer should never have been put in this situation to begin with. It should have been an otherwise normal day with maybe a protest that stayed loud but peaceful. The fact that it turned violent and did so at the behest of a sitting president is, by far, the most evil thing a president ever has done.
35
This is Ben Shapiro's idea, and he is full of nothing but terrible ideas.
35
If we had better nutrition available instead of factory foods loaded with refined sugar, fats, and salt, these sorts of diet fads wouldn't have nearly as much traction.
34
Poor AND homeless. To a lot of people, someone homeless is less than human. To me, someone making millions by denying them medical care is way further down the ladder than someone homeless.
34
Don't you love it when they show you pages out of their own playbook and ascribe it to their opposition?
33
Sometimes, even a professional reality denier like Hannity needs to acknowledge reality, it helps keep them apparently truthful to their followers.
32
We still have that stubborn puritanical streak in this country. It's a weed that refuses to die.
31
Vote Biden now, otherwise Trump might win and you might not have another chance to vote for anyone again.
30
I had to stop watching that interview only a few minutes in because it was absolutely disgusting. This man is insane.
29
I've only recently subscribed to Vaush. Like anyone I subscribe to, I don't agree with everything he says, but at least I can say his arguments are thought out and genuine unlike most on the right. Plus, it's good to get some contrary opinions to make you reconsider your own, even if they're only slightly contrary.
25
Vaush usually has a level head, but as much as he tries to be purely intellectual, he's quite emotionally driven. He does what most people who purport to be public intellectuals do and uses that intellectuality to explain and\or excuse their emotions. I listen to a large group of people from the left, and right now especially, they tend to disagree and feud over minutiae when the big things need focusing. Thinking Israel has a right to exist isn't the same as excusing mass killings by the state nor does believing Palestinians have a right to live in peace indorse Hamas's murderous ideology and actions.
24
What I heard: "The president has a minor issue with his skin that's easily treatable. Tell me about the President's brain." Honestly, bringing up a small cancerous lesion and then asking about his cognitive abilities is bafflingly stupid. They brought it up for absolutely no reason. Tangentially, one might argue it's linked because both are medical issues, but you wouldn't ask a dentist about foot pain after mentioning tinnitus. This man's relevant medical field is neither skin cancer nor cognition.
24
Manufactured foodstuffs tend to have a ton of appetite stimulating chemicals, are low satiating, and are calorically dense. It's no wonder we've gotten fat. We're so far from our sources of food, it means that corporations get to decide what we have access to, and it's going to be what makes them the most money.
24
Robert Reich seems to me to be one of, if not the, most sensible and reasonable economists I've ever heard. Been listening to his content for years. He's not starting from a position of apologia for the wealthy and working to that end. He seems to genuinely be working from a framework of what is best for everyone, rich, poor, and in between.
22
I love that a group that constantly yells out, "cultural appropriation," when it comes to people (usually white) taking part of someone's culture for themselves. Yet, this very same group has zero issues imposing their specific ideology onto someone else's culture. Stop meddling, stop forcing your language interests on other people, stop trying to fix society for the few instead of for the many. If someone WANTS to be referred to as Latinx, fine. Otherwise, shut up about it.
22
It's a completely messed up system where you aren't you unless some conglomerate of corporations agrees you are you.
20
If Elon Musk were half as smart as he thinks he is he'd be about a thousand times smarter than he actually is.
19
It's like throwing steaks at a hungry lion and hope it doesn't eat you. Might work for a little while, but eventually you're getting eaten.
18
We've become numb to all this horror. That in itself is an indictment of American culture and government policy.
18
@pointschamp2518 If by change sex you mean surgery, guess what, NO doctor in the US is performing sex change surgeries on minors. You aren't at all informed on the process of transitioning, so maybe do that before telling other people what is going on.
18
It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong. I, for one, welcome Mr. Sweetser and thank him for being the bigger man.
18
I'm sorry, but I disagree that her constituents shouldn't be punished for sending a horrible person to office. They SHOULD be punished. Elections have consequences. If you want good outcomes, you send good people. They need to learn and it's going to be the hard way. The burned hand learns not to play with fire faster and more completely than the scolded hand.
17
There is no such thing as holier than thou. Everyone, especially politicians, that claim to be holier than thou are always shown to be quite unholy.
17
I thought he looks like an adult Butthead of Bevis and Butthead fame.
16
Why do you have to insult monsters by associating them with Marjorie Taylor Grene and Matt Gaetz?
16
Not just vaccines. Medicine in general. He read some homeopathy journal years ago and thought it was the smartest thing ever.
15
She won't call on activist while being one herself. Hypocrisy has become official state policy.
15
I am angry at the Republicans for the overturning of Roe V. Wade, but I'm angry at them the way I'd be angry at a rabid dog for biting me. It was likely to happen, and I should have been prepared. I'm angry at Democrats for the overturning of Roe V. Wade because they had DECADES to codify this into law and decided to rest on their laurels. You can't expect the Supreme Court to just hold something like this forever.
15
Greed destroys everything.
15
This guy sounds a lot like he's come to a conclusion and then looked for evidence to support it.
15
I'd call him a terrible human being, except I think of him more of a congealed mass of fetid stagnant and polluted pond water poured into an empty suit.
15
One doesn't become the richest person by being empathetic. One can only become the richest by crushing people under your heel and squeezing for every last cent one can extract from them. YOU might help people if that money were to drop out of the sky and into your lap, but the empathetic people of the world don't become wealthy BECAUSE they use their resources to help people, not hoard even more resources.
13
The woman got the house laughing derisively at her when she told them to maintain decorum.
