  1. I have found anyone quoting the Bible out of context is both ignorant of the Bible and of the subject in which prompted the quoting. I'm an atheist and I've read the Bible more thoroughly and more critically than any of these Bible thumpers ever did. One trick I've used against people quoting the Bible at me is to ask them to quote the preceding and following passages and explain the context. I NEVER get a positive response. Mostly, I get called a Satanist or something.
