  1. From a purely theoretical standpoint, mind control is perfectly possible. Unethical, dangerous, difficult as to be nearly unobtainable, but possible. The human brain is malleable. Between physical connections between neurons and neurochemicals, the brain has many potential means of alteration. Doing so with any sort of reliability or repeatability is virtually impossible. More importantly, why would we want to? The idea of forcing a population to believe or act a certain way might sound good to the authoritarian, but to the rest of us it's a pure horror story. Outside of attempting to cure various psychoses or debilitating mental diseases, we shouldn't be messing around with people's brains anyway.
