There are better and worse groups of people, however the caveat there is, how do you cut people into groups? For instance, murderers are a worse group than people who don't, or rapists are a worse group than people who don't. Grouping people by religion, one may point out trends in the group, some that are better than average or worse than average, but to compare two groups and suggest then that all members of said group are better than the other group is a fool's endeavor. It's not particularly instructive either. A person isn't their group identity and may be a better or worse example of said group.
