The most important election of our lives isn't the 2024 election, it was the 2016 election, and we got that one tremendously wrong. 2020 was trying to mitigate the damage done. 2024 is now trying to keep the whole thing from collapsing. It won't be enough. We need to pick Harris, but we're going to need to pick a dozen more like her for the next half century to get halfway back to where we were in 2008. This is going to be a long slog, so put your work boots and your work gloves on and let's get going.
