  1. Fox News causing mental illness? Probably not, at least not more than a few fringe cases. Exacerbating existing mental illness? Absolutely. For example, if you take someone who is suffering a form of psychological paranoia and you start saying, "THEY'RE coming to GET YOU" ad nauseum, you're going to cause a paranoid episode in said sufferer. They don't deal in reality, they deal exclusively in propaganda using a constructed reality, a fantasy, to reinforce it. Anyone suffering mental illness and consuming that information is going to be made worse.
