  1. Having a correct conclusion based on faulty assumptions or faulty information is worse than being wrong. It makes said person seem smarter than they are and then they end up leading people down bad paths. Technically, Shapiro's conclusion about Tait isn't that he's a bad guy, it's that he's not conservative or not conservative in the right way.
