  1. Our entire criminal justice system needs an overhaul. The majority difficulty is bringing commercial concerns into what ostensibly is meant to be a social protection against crime paired as well as a means of preventing injustice and false arrest. When you have a profit motive to keep more people in jail longer, you create a system that is designed to be unjust. Capitalism is a great thing for many products and services, but some things just have to be removed from a profiteering motive, and criminal justice is a big one.
