  1. The answer to all of this is simple, but not easy. There are WAY more of us who don't want oligarchy, who don't want authoritarianism, who do want competent people running things in the various governmental departments than there are oligarchs. If we were able to set aside our political differences, we could join together and force them all out, block their assets, have them charged with crimes. Simple! That's not likely because we first have to set aside our political differences. Too many on both sides see the other as the enemy, so it's a high wall to clear. Not insurmountable, but difficult. Once we finally do clear that barrier, the rest will be easy.
