For the sake of argument, let's say he's being 100% truthful about his current story. He STILL needs to testify before the committee. If, like he says, there's a war on the truth and he's fighting on that side, it's his obligate moral duty to represent the truth before this committee. I mean, he's a liar and defending a failed coup attempt and an active insurrection, so he won't.
