  1. My complaint with the pharmaceutical industry isn't that the medications they produce aren't efficacious or that they often produce quackery. My complaint is that they make useful medications that are efficacious, life extending, life enhancing, and lifesaving but then charge far, FAR more than it cost to produce, even factoring in failed research paths that lead nowhere. "But they're greedy," isn't an argument against taking medication produced by pharmaceutical corporations, it's an argument to break them up into much smaller corporations that then have to compete against one another, driving down costs OR to nationalize the industry so that taxpayers foot the bill cutting out the profit motive.

  2. Even if God is real, Evolution is a fact of population dynamics. Hearing Gibson say, "I don't really go for that," about evolution, what he's saying is, "I don't really go for reality. I want to live in my comfortable fantasy where I get to live forever and laugh as people I don't like burn forever in a lake of fire." He's a terrible human being and totally insane.
