Trump is a man whose wealth protected him from consequences. He never HAD to learn anything, because everything was handed to him. You start with no need to be intelligent and no curiosity, you're going to be stupid. But he's one man. My worry is how few people really read anymore. I don't read as much as I used to, but I still read. Our attention spans are shortening to nil, everything can be broken down into smaller and smaller parts. Algorithms online want us paying attention to our predigested media, not absorbing complex ideas and definitely not spending time away from such media. Trump is a symptom, but like a fever, he's very dangerous.
