  1. Ah, the Eric Cartman strategy. On one episode of South Park, Cartman inherited a ton of money and bought an old defunct theme park. He wanted it all to himself, but as time went on, things broke down, and he needed to allow some people in to cover costs. Eventually, the park became so popular that he ended up selling it and it thrived after. The unintentional strategy made the park so successful that other attractions started doing the whole, "you can't come in here" routine to artificially drive up demand.
