  1. Trump is using the attempt of banning straws by people who are genuinely concerned by pollution as being hypocritical. Too focused on a small thing, not focused enough on the big things, because they know it's a non-issue. Now, we all know it's not a non-issue, that we need massive changes NOW, but the best we can get is tiny changes around the edges. This was red meat for his base, and actually a brilliant move on his part in that regard.
