  1. Our nation has deified the office of the president to the degree that it's unthinkable anyone who has occupied the office should ever be convicted of crimes they have committed. We didn't prosecute Nixon and it was downhill from there. Regan, too, should have been charged with crimes over the Iran-Contra scam. George W. Bush for goddamned war crimes. Trum starting a coup attempt and not even having the real fear that his impeachment would go any way other than it did proves this nation needs its collective head examined.
