  1. I would be in favor of a genuinely elite police force. One that is trained well to deescalate volatile situations, capable of controlling a situation without losing one's cool, capable of recognizing when and when not to administer violence and, in rare cases, lethal force. Unfortunately, what they seem to mean by elite police force is overwhelming violence and capability to kill without remorse.
