  1. I have two scenarios in mind for the end of America, both at opposite extremes, so anything in between can happen. Scenario 1, utter collapse a la the Roman empire. Due to infighting, incompetence, and corruption, the nation erodes until collapse. Scenario 2, it last for a very long time, but social evolution and technological advancement precipitate a unified humanity leaving old nation states as vestiges of a bygone era and all of humanity governs itself in a far more cooperative way.
