  1. The left, by and large, wants to understand how the world works and try to make the things that don't work or work poorly work well. The right doesn't care at all about how the world works, they want to force reality to fit their ideology. If something works in a way they don't like, they'll do anything they can to break it. Worse, when something they try continues to fail, for example, Trickle Down Economics, they'll just keep doing it over and over again. They're afraid of reality, pure and simple.
