  1. The news acts like their job is to get a guy who says it's raining and a guy who says it's sunny, and let you decide what's true or not. No, their job is to find out what the weather is and report that. They're too interested in facts and not enough about truth. In the above example, it's true one guy says it's raining and another says it's sunny, but the truth is what the weather actually is, which might be one, might be the other, might be both, and might be neither. And I get it, they might get it wrong, which is why it's so important to be a thorough investigator, correct the record when necessary, and not give someone, anyone, an unchecked platform to say whatever they want.
