  1. Being wright for no reason or for faulty reasons is worse than being wrong. If you're wrong about something, one can be corrected, proper information can be given, faulty information deconstructed. If you're wright for bad or no reason, then people may follow you believing you're correct and then get blindsided when really bad information leads to REALLY wrong conclusions. The most charitable interpretation of Trump being correct about a lab-made virus is that he was incompetent, not doing what we needed to protect ourselves from said virus. The least charitable interpretation would be that Trump actively allowed this virus to kill many of his citizens, which is reason to keep him away from office, not try to shoehorn him back in.
