These are the kind of people who, when you're out with them in a group and the subject of where to eat comes up, hem and haw for an unduly long time before finally suggesting a place to eat, then when you get there, refuse to order.

If I were a republican strategist, I'd be pushing to get this bill through and then discipline the party with the message that this bill isn't the president's success. I'd be messaging that the president was so weak that they were able to push through a bill he didn't want because of their strength, and you should elect more of them so they can run the system better. Of course, one of the requirements for being a Republican operative is checking your brain at the door.

@kharanraj6546 Thing is, Republicans have vilified intelligence so much they wouldn't hire someone who is even marginally intelligent, not unless they went to one of their ivy-league old-boy clubs.
