A draft is a terrible idea. It would automatically create a group of people who will find ways to dodge the draft like Donald Trump and Bill Clinton. It'll create people who will find the loopholes to avoid combat like George W. Bush. Right there alone will disincentivize accountability which will create the need for Enron accounting tricks, both of which will weaken our military. Then there will be even bigger military spending bloat than we already have. Something like 1 in 4 American men would be physically ineligible for service due to obesity. The military doesn't want psychopaths or people who could not or would not uphold their oath of service, but with recruitment goals constantly falling short, they've relaxed their standards. Their older screening methods worked well and should be reimplemented.

@TheReaper-ep2cq And you think that's a GOOD thing? War, especially elective wars (which are the only kind we've had for over fifty years now) are never a good thing. Our founding fathers didn't even want a standing army exactly BECAUSE we'd always be looking for the next war. Read some history before attacking someone else.
