  1. Big picture, with the rabid, almost cult-like behavior of the republican party right now, the only thing impeachment will do is allow Trump to play the martyr and gain a ton of sympathy. It will backfire. All this about "if we do it to expose his criminality and show the people..." I will refer you to some words of wisdom from my grandfather. If is the biggest word in the English language, and it only has two letters. I can almost guarantee that if the democrats manage to get articles of impeachment started, it will not be the way we want it to be, to expose criminality and get a record of bad behavior on the record, it will be a clusterfuck of partisan hackery and will muddy the waters worse than they already are. The system is far too corrupted and far too broken for a positive outcome now after letting a walking collection of rot and bile into the office of the presidency.
