People by and large are lead around by the nose. By the right, by the left, doesn't matter. SOME do research, SOME are informed, but most have checked out. Life is easy enough now that we don't need to engage in what our leaders are doing. People are so inured by all the conveniences they have that they don't want to think about what the parties are doing and what government is actually doing. They get freaked out when their jobs are in danger, then latch onto whichever side tells them that they'll be saved and then believe the excuses given as to why they weren't. We're a people of sheep and we're being lead by wolves. I think the right is doing less damage, but not no damage. It's time we dismantle the parties and let ideas stand on their own. We won't do that, so it'll be more of the same for the foreseeable future.
