  2. Evolution isn't a goal, it's a process. They think it's all about things going from simpler to more complex. Sometimes that happens, sometimes it's the opposite. The VAST majority of evolution is lateral. BTW, humans aren't above apes, we ARE apes. One cannot evolve out of one's ancestry.
