  1. I'm pro-choice, but not pro-abortion. While I'd rather not see a woman need to have an abortion, reality, not ideology, dictates abortion is something that often needs to be used. I'd rather see a woman have an abortion rather than be forced by the state to bear and raise a child she doesn't want or to entrust the care of that child by the tender mercies of the American child welfare system. What's worse is the so-called pro-life movement also tends to be anti-birth-control. They don't want a reasonable discussion of reproductive health; they want to rule over women's bodies.
