  1. You can't excite only a third or less of your electorate and win. Bernie may have some good ideas, maybe he even has all the good ideas, but not everyone believes in his ideas and he's terrible at explaining or selling his ideas to enough people. Sorry, that's just the way of the world. Ideologues make terrible leaders because they can never see reality even when it's about to sink its teeth into their flesh.
