George Carlin would have laughed his ass off at how unfunny this is. Don't forget all the goofy faces, silly voices, and humorous sounds he made. He just wasn't a blithering idiot without a single ounce of introspection the way Jim Breuer is.

One can turn grievance into good humor. One must have some empathy and intelligence to do so, things that are in vanishingly short supply on the right.

@bryanjacobsen5005 That's kind of what I'm saying. He would think the man is a talentless hack who is painfully unfunny. The fact that he's in front of an audience literally braying like an ass and really believing he's funny while being completely unfunny would have made Carlin laugh.

There are plenty of jokes that are still funny with repetition, but they're jokes that are intelligent, empathetic, and clever. Jim Breuer has none of these traits.

One needs empathy to be funny. The best comedians can see the pain, the frustration, the anger, the sadness, and find within it some little bit of light. Humor is about taking all that pressure and relieving it by pulling humor out of it taking the darkness with it. It's catharsis and the best humor is universal or nearly so. What pain are people on the right really in? "Ugh, why do I have to care what gays or trans people do? Why are the libs trying to make things worse for me? Why are there atheists? Isn't my religion good enough?" Their pain is selfish, so their humor is selfish. Good humor shares with everyone.

@communistcomputergod6449 I could show you a few bits he's done where he is\was. Hell, Lewis Black has made a career over being the angry comedian.

Humor is catharsis, taking all the pain inside and pulling it out by laughing at it. It's not left wing or right wing; good humor is universal. Right now, the right wing is being seriously selfish and so their humor is likewise selfish. Good humor is shared. I've lost track of how many conservatives have tried to claim George Carlin as one of their own, especially after he wasn't around to defend himself.
