LOL! This was the plot to the movie Idiocracy. The reason the world was so stupid was because stupid people have far more children than smart people. The theory of Darwinism is that the most successful breeders pass on their traits. In a world where stupid people have a dozen children but smart people only have one or two, the stupid children will end up taking over. Hell, I think we're seeing that now!
