  1. Our justice system is both incredibly broken and incredibly stupid. Juries are meant to know nothing about the case being presented, but lawyers often go for people who also know nothing about the law. If you are highly educated, especially with any sort of law degree, they don't want you. Secondly, our justice system is more a debate and less an attempt to determine what the facts are. I also always found the typical statue of Justice a blindfolded woman holding scales. Justice can't be blind, it has to be observant. I realize it's meant to say Justice doesn't see race or class, but it still needs to see what's going on to function properly.
