  1. This internal bickering has become a race to the bottom. Even if, by some miracle, Bernie Sanders (this audience's favorite) manages to win the primary and then the presidency, he's going to be fighting a lot of internal backlash from the establishment. Even if we assume a blue tide washing out the Republicans entirely, he won't get one thing done the first half of his term. This primary business is just our politics forcing every candidate to try and eat one another, and it's not doing us any goddamned favors.
