That point the viewer brought up at the end about debate could be applied to politics in general and the Republican party specifically. None of them actually debate, it's just talking points and trying to smear one's opponents. I'm not particularly fond of debate myself, a skilled debater can successfully defend a lie while a poor debater can fail to defend the truth. But, as far as any of that goes, it's not debate at all, it's political theater.
