While there is something to say about experience being important for a president, I'm not one of those that subscribe to the idea that age necessarily brings wisdom. For some it does, but for many it does not. If you're young and stupid, you aren't going to be old and wise, you'll be old and stupid. Ideally, we'd have presidents who have a wide base of knowledge and develop the skill to get advice from people in the fields where they lack any knowledge or have incomplete knowledge. Sadly, that's rarely the case. And, yeah, having someone well over the average life expectancy is asking for trouble.
