  3. Even if this or any administration decided tomorrow that gas stoves were going to be banned, it'd probably be ten or twenty years before yours is taken away. First, it'd have to be reviewed, be challenged, survive said challenges, and be enacted into law. That's just the first leg. Then, a ban would have a time limit for manufacturers to stop producing new gas stoves. After that, any gas stove that hasn't been replaced with an electric will be subjected to grandfather clauses and be allowed to continue being used until they inevitably break down. Only then will you be forced to give up your gas stove.
