I know I'm going to sound like an asshole here, but the police's actions are warranted. You come into a situation as a police officer, only information is there is a riot or robbery going on, you come onto the scene and see a number of individuals with guns, what would your first reaction be? Bystanders telling you they aren't the looters? Maybe, maybe they're part of the group of looters trying to distract you. Fox News was wrong to selectively edit the video, but we do have to look at this from more than just the perspective of the bystanders. Cops aren't gods with perfect knowledge, they have to act on the information they have, and they can't hesitate or people can and will die.
