  1. The average age of consent in the U.S. is 16. Now, that obviously is only on a per state basis. Crossing state lines and involving money triggers federal statutes. Also, Florida's age of consent is 18. It's an awful mess. Honestly, I understand why we need these laws, but human nature isn't that easy to constrain.
