  1. Genetics are a thing. People from various regions on Earth over the eons have adapted to their region and developed characteristics to help them survive. Some of it is literally only skin deep. African people having darker skin to protect themselves from the harsher rays of the sun they are exposed to. European people having lighter skin to absorb more of the sun's rays so as to produce a healthy level of vitamin D. One might call that ethnicity or race. These characteristics exist, but race as it's described does not. It's entirely arbitrary in many instances. Jews in Germany during the Nazi regime were targeted for their culture, their wealth, their "inferior" genes, both actual and perceived. If Jew isn't a race, guess what, neither is white. It wasn't one group of whites attacking another, it was one culture of perceived superiority deciding to destroy another they considered inferior. It was absolutely, 100% about race.
