  1. Republicans used to see quite far. They had tunnel vision, so only saw the end goal and ignored a lot of dangers on the way, but they still could see far. Now they've become severely myopic coupled with the aforementioned tunnel vision. It's like seeing the world through a tiny pinprick and nothing around them is clear at all.
