  1. No energy solution is a panacea. Renewables are great, we need much more, but each one has its drawbacks too. We need a broad approach until we iron out all the kinks of renewables, which we will only do by implementing more renewables and sinking money into research and development. New nuclear plants that are more modern and safe should be built, mostly to replace the older less safe plants. Plus, nuclear plants lead to nuclear research which, hopefully, will lead to the ultimate renewable energy, fusion.
