  1. Republicans think believe they only need their base to get elected. Obviously, they realize they need the political middle to vote for them, but they can't win an election if they aren't on the ticket. I don't know how true it is, I've seen examples that would suggest it's more true than not, but if enough brave Republicans would buck this idea and run on policy and trying to benefit more Americans than the ultra-wealthy, this MAGA movement might just die off sooner rather than later.
