  1. This man clearly failed basic American civics. Doesn't matter if congress is mostly or even entirely in the president's party, their job isn't to do what the president says, their job is to act as a check on his power. Problem is, for decades congress has abdicated much of its responsibility by investing power in the presidency. This was entirely avoidable, but because they acted this way, it was clearly inevitable.
