  1. The point of a tweet is to make a short, easy to understand statement. David's tweet had the unfortunate task of conveying nuance to a crowd that is immune to nuance. I would have prefaced the tweet with ensuring people understand I find the victims of the shooting to be perfectly innocent before going to the thoughts and prayers are useless in stopping violence.
