  1. Hegseth sees the military as a hammer and that hammer's sole function is killing people. The military is a very large and well-stocked toolbox. Yes, the hammer is one of its biggest and perhaps most important tools, but it has many others. They are engineers, city planners, weather monitors, humanitarian support, police, medical support, security, even public relations. How can we have a man who was in the military and doesn't understand this?
