  1. The goal of progressivism should be progress. We're meant to be finding the sweet spot between maximizing freedom and maximizing well-being for everyone, not pushing our ideas on people who don't accept them. Demanding ideological purity is what is currently destroying the right-wing. We should be encouraging them to do that while avoiding the same problem. Purity movements always end in self-destruction, because no one, NO ONE, is ever pure enough.
