  1. I hate politics. It's disgusting, it devolves into mud-slinging and name calling, it divides us along imaginary lines and causes us to fight among ourselves while the wealthy and powerful run off with all the money. HOWEVER, I stay informed and I participate. Why? Because when we start checking out because it's uncomfortable, that's when they start pulling stunts and our system slowly shifts towards oligarchy or fascism. Eternal Vigilance is what we must pay to be free, no exceptions.
