  1. It's not that they love losing, it's that they are strategically inept. They want the success the conservative side has had in building power, but they want to force it fast not realizing it took decades and generations of chipping away at the structures and systems of the US government in order to build this power base. If progressives want to fix things, they need to do what the conservatives did and slowly chip away at the corruption that has set in. It'll take decades and generations, and they're FAR too impatient for that.
