  1. The divergence between different branches within the left or within the right (as opposed to between the left and right) illuminates one greater truth. No ideology is true. While I hold certain ideals, maybe taking bits and bobs from different ideologies, even my cobbled together ideology isn't true. If we were a wiser people, we'd set up models of the different ideologies using volunteers who adhere to those ideologies, and test to see which aspects of the different ideologies have more or less utility and try expanding those until we find a functional and adaptive system, making small tweaks as necessary.
