  2. Do you know what happens when the church runs the state? An official religion is created and you will be a part of it or be persecuted and\or prosecuted. How about when the state runs the church? Any doctrine that offends the state is excised by force. There's a reason our founding fathers wanted a wall of separation between church and state, it was to protect both from each other.
